MFX (Makeup and Special Effecrs Mexico S.A. de C.V.) was founded in 2010 with the vision of combining art, imagination, and excellence in procedures and aesthetics. The team has some of the leading artists, designers, and special effects technicians in the mexican industry.

The directors of MFX, Roberto Ortiz and Ana Flores, have received Ariel Awards by the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AMACC) and multiple nominations in the categories of best makeup and best special effects.

Over the years, MFX has collaborated with overseas workshops such as Spectral Motion, KNB efx Group, and Onyx Forge, in addition to working with world-renowned artists like Mike Hill, Bill Corso, and Joel Harlow.

MFX’s team members have worked on numerous national and international productions, including Roma by Alfonso Cuarón, Bardo by Alejandro G. Iñarritu, and Apocalypto by Mel Gibson.

The team is dedicated to provide high-quality services and constantly improving their techniques to achieve the best results.

MFX offers a wide range of services, including prosthetics, creature design, animatronics, beauty makeup, fashion, and editorial shoots. They also provide workshops and training sessions for aspiring makeup artists and special effects technicians.
